ACTIVITY
Prof Dr Klein is an expert in the fields of energy, environmental and commercial law. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in the field of sports law and alternative dispute resolution, in particular arbitration. In these areas Prof. Dr. Klein acts as an expert witness and advises BODENHEIMER as an external consultant. Prof Dr Klein is no longer admitted to the bar. There is no professional cooperation within the meaning of § 59a BRAO.
PROFESSIONAL CAREER
Before joining BODENHEIMER as Of Counsel, Prof Dr Klein was a lawyer at BODENHEIMER and Senior Legal Counsel at a listed plant breeding and biotechnology company. Previously, he was a research assistant at the chair of BVR Prof Dr Andreas L. Paulus at the Institute for Public International and European Law at the University of Göttingen. Since April 2022 he holds the professorship for Energy, Environmental and Economic Law at the Faculty of Resource Management at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Göttingen. He is a lecturer in the advanced training program Conflict Resolution in National and International Sport at Goethe University in Frankfurt.
LEGAL EDUCATION
Prof Dr Klein studied in Tübingen, Göttingen and New York. He earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School and a doctorate from the University of Göttingen. He was a scholarship holder of the Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft and the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.
